Ndebelle
This South African beaded apron, was for ceremonial occasions. It defined one's status, progressing from girlhood to womanhood. The Jocolo, with it's five fingers, was reserved for married women. The design on the front of the apron is similar to the design on the hut they live in. Excellent condition.
